McMusing Series: You Have Not Walked in My Shoes
Part IIII of a Four-Part Trauma-Informed Reflection on the Current Political Crisis.
I have chosen to publish this series without sending it out in an email because many of my readers are overwhelmed by the current political climate. I have no desire to cause additional harm in my attempt to prevent harm. Still, my voice may provide additional perspectives for those who choose to read. At the very least, no matter how the next week plays out, I will have clearly stated the reflections behind my positions that I will continue to voice going forward.

Part III: You Have Not Walked in My Shoes
Since childhood, I have been an observer. I observed the world and then gathered those observations in a basket and wandered off to reflect on them. As a young child, there was a specific chair I sat in while I did this. I am sure I was small because my parents gave the chair away when I was ten. I never found another thinking chair I liked as much—but I still kept observing and thinking. It is what I do.
