I wasn’t sure what I would post in this Sunday slot but my hospital reflection reminded me of how well God cares for me in ways I do not expect. It is never a big monumental thing and could be easily missed if I wasn’t paying attention. I never doubt but that it is God giving me a glimmer of hope.

I have no idea why I clicked on the wrong room for my Author Roundtable at the Attachment & Trauma Network (ATN) virtual Trauma Sensitive Schools Conference. I was surprised when fellow author and friend, Jessica Sinarski, appeared in the Zoom room with me. There is no explaining my delight when this amazing human appeared so unexpectedly.
I told her that I thought she was in the wrong room when I was actually the one in the wrong room. Awkward. Even when I tried to go out and carefully click the correct link, I ended up in the room with Jessica again. We laughed and she gave me a link that worked. I will never know what I was doing wrong. It was meant to be.
I had just received a signed copy of Jessica’s latest book which I was honored to be asked to endorse so I was grateful for this surprising opportunity to thank her.
My Endorsement for Hello Anxiety:
Once again Jessica Sinarski delivers! In Hello Anxiety she masterfully weaves story, brain science, and relational care with simple regulation tools that children —and their caregivers—can add to their backpacks. With delightful illustrations, the story of Destiny and the dreaded book report provides a perfect backdrop for helping children use their whole, wise brain to be able to say, “I’ve got this. I can do it!”.

The Brave Author Story
Jessica and I met several years ago when I moderated her session at ATN’s first virtual conference. While reading her bio before the session, I realized we both wrote Brave books! We had a kindred spirit moment in the Green Room before the session began and agreed to exchange books. All that follows is the result of that exchange.
