Janyne, your words hit me in the feels, with tears all the way through this. There are some plot twists in life we simply can't prepare for, or even expect. And while God is already there, we'll be your "alongsiders." Praying, caring, and thinking of you every day.

I know you're probably not looking for a pep talk, but that dry run is good news. I had my own dry run before I got my heart transplant. I know several people who got two or three "close but no cigar" moments. It means things are happening and he's near the top of the list. Think of it as practice for the real thing. It's coming soon!

Heavy heart this morning for you, but your words about having hope even if it is not enthusiastic resonated with me. I've often seen hope as an all or nothing and in our current situation, facing what we're facing I just don't see how there will be a good outcome but I also know that I know that I know that even if it is a smidgen, I can't help but hope. So I'm hoping with you and for us all, warm hugs and here's to someone finding you a comfy chair!! Love from here.

Thank you for being so honest. There aren't words to describe what you're going through. Sometimes I feel like those of us who have gone through some things similar belong to this club that no one wants to belong to. We see each other a little differently, we hear one another in a way that others don't because of our pain. We read the writing of each other and we understand a little but not all of it because each of our journeys is different. Your journey helped me today. I'm in a very different part of my journey right now but it helps me to reflect back. Thank you. Colleen

Colleeen, Thank you. I am glad my honest writing helped you reflect. The common themes of human suffering are similar even when the stories are different. One day, I hope to look back on this through my writing knowing that we made it through. My therapist often said, "This is where you are but you won't always be here." I hold onto that today.

My heart is heavy for you after reading this. I am so sorry. I hope you find some sort of solace in knowing that God is with you and he knows your pain. I pray for you to feel some comfort from him on this journey. Know that I will continue to pray for both of you. God bless.
