RockWall Cottage Chronicles #13
A newsy, sometimes amusing, usually interesting fly-on-the-RockWall view of my life as an author with updates from my Substack adventures.
The small cottage where I live and write has been affectionally named RockWall Cottage because of the rock wall that divides our side of the property from the side of the property where our friends, the owners of the cottage, live. (Learn More)
What Has Been Happening at RockWall Cottage?
We have enjoyed having many family gatherings on our back porch this summer! We will be breaking out the heaters soon to enjoy our porch time! My granddaughter managed to capture the illusive Scrub Jay that flies away every time I try to capture a picture of him enjoying the birdbath.

Brave: Healing Childhood Trauma is now available as an audiobook! The two sequels are in the works. Over the years, I have received many messages asking if it would be available in audio format and I can now say yes! It was done with AI technology—not my voice—but it is calming (important for a difficult subject) and reflects the emotions and inflections in my writing. I was pleasantly surprised! I have as many questions about AI as anyone else, but this has needed to happen for five years and this provided a great solution to that problem!
I am grateful for readers who share reviews of my books on Amazon!
Maybe life-changing for me: “I found this book through hearing her in one of the sessions of the Religious Trauma certification course. When I saw her book title on her end page, I ordered a Kindle sample. After reading that, I wanted more, and so I purchased the Kindle version, which allows me to highlight things and write notes. Many times what she shared touched something in my own experience, things to work on in my own therapy.” —Rev. Sandra Rogers
Powerful: “Such a powerful book. I appreciate her sharing the journey of childhood trauma and how she found herself, her true self through trauma therapy. Anyone going through this or loves someone who is, needs to read this. Because of this book, I'm trying to go through the therapy again.” —Amazon Customer
